Grey Goo

Grey Goo is a real-time strategy game developed by Petroglyph, a game studio formed by ex-Westwood developers who were responsible for the seminal real-time strategy game Command & Conquer. The game takes place in a future where humans have colonized distant planets and are confronted with an evil nanobot swarm called the Grey Goo.

The game features three playable factions - the Beta, the Goo, and the Humans - each with their own unique units, structures, and playstyles. The Beta are a technologically advanced race that rely on high-tech weaponry and defenses. The Goo, on the other hand, are a highly adaptive swarm of self-replicating nanobots that can consume and assimilate any material they come into contact with. The Humans rely on classic RTS-style base-building, resource management, and ground-based combat.

Grey Goo has a strong emphasis on tactical gameplay and unit positioning. Players must carefully navigate their armies over varied terrain and utilize cover, line-of-sight, and other environmental elements to gain an advantage over their opponents. In addition, players must also manage their resources carefully to build up their forces and technology in order to gain an edge in battles.
